Methods for Building Information System

Methods for building information system include Prototype, SDLC, and Spiral (Oetomo 2002: 147-160). The main case of the methods is how to make an application can be used by users. In other word, made application must be able to fulfill users’ requirement.

Prototype

This step includes identifying user’s requirement, developing prototype, determining prototype, and implementing prototype.

SDLC

This method includes planning, analysis, design, selection, implementation, and maintenance (Febrian 2004: 399). System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is relatively more popular than others for many students in Indonesia.

Spiral

This method is combination between SDLC and Prototype. This method includes Quadrant I and Quadrant II.
