What is the meaning of “akhi” (اخي)? Category: Arabic into English. This is adapted from Books for Class 4 Elementary School.

اَخِيْ

اَخِيْ فِى الْبَيْتِ

اَخِيْ فِى الْمَكْتَبَةِ الانَ

هَذَا اَخِيْ، اِسْمُهُ اَحْمَدُ

ذَلِكَ اَخِيْ، هُوَ تِلْمِيْذٌ فِى مَدْرَسَةٍ اِبْتِدَائِيَّةٍ

TRANSLATION (TARJAMAH)

1. My brother

2. My brother is in the house.

3. My brother is in the library now.

4. This is my brother. His name is Ahmad.

5. That is my brother. He is a student at Elementary School.

VOCABULARY (MUFRADAT)

فِى: in

الْبَيْتِ: the house

الْمَكْتَبَةِ: the library

الانَ: now

هَذَا: this

اِسْمُهُ: his name

ذَلِكَ: that

هُوَ: he

تِلْمِيْذٌ: student

مَدْرَسَةٍ: school

مَدْرَسَةٍ اِبْتِدَائِيَّةٍ: elementary school
